USP Account Creation and Management

Why do I need a USP account?

A USP account, consisting of an email address and password, is required to access your USP subscriptions, products, and applications.

How do I create a USP account?

1. Go to the login page for your USP product. Alternatively, if you are in a USP product that enables you to browse without logging in, you may have a login option that will take you to the USP account login page.

2. Click the link to create a new account.

3. Complete the form, entering all required information (marked with a red asterisk *).

NOTE: When entering your organization, the form will autosuggest the organization name and the address. You may select from the displayed list or enter your own information.

4. The form will ask for a password. Please note the password guidelines on the form, adding a password that meets those guidelines.

5. Submit the form once complete. If applicable, a message will display recommending other organization addresses that closely match your entry. If so, you can continue with your entered address or select a recommended address.

6. Upon submission, a message will display requesting verification of your account. You will also receive an email with a code to verify the account. Go to that email to obtain your verification code and enter the code in the provided field. NOTE: The code will expire in 10 minutes. You can request a new code if needed.

7. Once verified, you will see a success message. Click the link to login. Upon login, you will be returned to the USP product from which you requested account creation.

An account was created on my behalf. What do I do next?

Some organizations create USP accounts on behalf of their employees. If this is the case for your organization, you will receive an email to verify your account within 7 days.

1. Go to the email and follow instructions to verify the account.

2. Upon verification, you must set your password. Enter your password. Please note the password guidelines on the form, adding a password that meets those guidelines.

3. Follow the instructions to verify your password, entering a code sent to your email address.

4. Once verified, you can login with your email address and password.

How do I change my password?

1. Go to the login page for your USP product.

2. Click the "Forgot password" link on the login page.

3. Enter your email address and confirm the Captcha.

4. Verify your email address by entering the verification code that was emailed to you.

5. Enter your new password. Please note the password guidelines on the form, adding a password that meets those guidelines.

6. A confirmation message regarding your password reset will display. You can now login using your email address and new password.

How do I update my USP account?

1. Go to the register page.

2. Click the gear icon at the top right next to your account information and select the edit profile option.

3. Your profile will open allowing you to edit your name, profile details, and organization details. NOTE: You are not allowed to edit your email address. If your email address has changed, then you must create a new USP account.

4. Enter your edits and save.

How do I know what USP products I can access?

1. Go to the register page.

2. Click the gear icon at the top right next to your account information.

3. Select the option to manage your subscriptions.

4. Tabs will display, showing free resources, paid resources (if applicable), and other USP applications and products.
